One of the most highly respected coaches in the field of aquatics, Glander coached at Cal State L.A. from 1960-83.

Serving in several coaching capacities, he coached water polo for nine seasons (1960-69), swimming for 15 years (1960-74) and diving for 23 years (1960-83).

Glander coached numerous national champions, including two-time national champion diver Jay Moxley in 1964 and Rick Hoss in 1977.
