Cal State LA Athletics

2014: Had a tremendous season for the Golden Eagles in his third and final season with the program. Appeared in 20 games and started 14 times. Played a total of 996 minutes. Led the team in scoring with five goals and 10 assists for 20 points. Earned second-team All-West Region honors from Daktronics and first-team All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honors. Got his second off to a dynamic start. Had a goal and an assist in a 3-0 win over Western Washington on Sept. 4 and had two goals and three assists in an 8-1 win over Saint Martin's on Sept. 6. The three assists tied a program single-game record. Earned Player of the Week honors for those two games. Had two assists in a 4-1 win over Cal State Dominguez Hills on Sept. 20 and had an assist on a game-winning goal by Sigifredo Torres on Oct. 3. Had the game-winning goals in a 1-0 victory over Chico State on Sept. 28 and a 2-0 victory at Cal State San Bernardino on Oct. 5. For his career, appeared in 59 games with 38 starts. Played a total of 3,145 minutes. Had 14 goals and 23 assists for 51 points. The 23 assists are No. 5 all-time in program history. The 10 assists in 2014 are tied for 10th for a single season in program history.

2013: Had an outstanding season in his second year with the Golden Eagles. Appeared in 21 games and started seven times. Played a total of 996 minutes. Was second on the team with five goals and five assists for 15 points. Earned second-team All-CCAA honors . Shared the team lead with three game-winning goals. Had two goals, including the game-winner, in a 6-1 victory over Saint Martin’s on Sept. 8. Got the game-winner in overtime in a 3-2 win at Humboldt State on Oct. 6. Picked up the lone goal in the 69^th minute of a 1-0 win at Cal State San Bernardino on Oct. 25. Had a goal and an assist in a 2-1 win over Cal State San Bernardino on Sept. 29. Had the assist on the game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory over UC San Diego in the CCAA championship game on Nov. 10.

2012: Made a big impact in his first year with the Cal State L.A. program. Appeared in 18 games with 17 starts. Played a total of 1,153 minutes. Earned All-CCAA honorable mention honors. Recorded four goals and eight assists for a total of 16 points. Was third on the team in scoring. Had three goals and seven assists in the final 10 games of the season.  Had a goal and an assist in a 3-0 win at Cal State Stanislaus on Sept. 9. Had the game-winning goal in overtime of a 2-1 win against San Francisco State on Oct. 7 and also had an assist on the other goal. Had two goals and one assist in a 3-2 win at Cal Poly Pomona on Oct. 28. Also had an assist on the game-tying goal in the NCAA playoffs against Grand Canyon on Nov. 10. Tied for second on the team in shots with 48.

At Nova Southeastern University: Appeared in 15 games and started 10 times in 2011. Led the team with four goals and two assists for 10 points.

At Sportgymnasium Dresden: Competed in soccer. Played for the U-17 German national team.

Personal: Son of Hayri and Melahat Tozar. Majoring in international business. Enjoys soccer and fighting. Lists the Berlin championship in 2003-04 and being called to the German Under-18 national team and the Turkish Under-17 team as his most exciting experiences in sports.
