Cal State LA Athletics

2015: Had a second sensational season in his final year with the program. Started all 18 games he appeared in and played a total of 1,673 minutes. Had three goals and six assists for 12 points. Was third on the team in scoring and led the team in assists.  Earned second-team All-West Region honors from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America and second-team All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honors. Had a goal and an assist in a 3-1 win over UC San Diego in a first-round CCAA Tournament game on Nov. 3. Scored his first career goal in a 5-0 win over Hawaii-Hilo on Oct. 7. Also had a goal in a 2-1 win at Cal State Monterey Bay on Oct. 18. Recorded assists in four of the last five games of the season. For his career, appeared in 39 games and started all 39. Played a total of 3,579 minutes. Had three goals and seven assists for 13 points.

2014: Had an outstanding first season with the Golden Eagles and earned All-CCAA honorable mention. Was third on the team in minutes played with 1,906 and was a big part of a Cal State L.A. defense that led the nation in goals against average and set new program records for fewest goals allowed and most shutouts. Had one assist in a 2-0 win over Cal State Monterey Bay on Oct. 10. Started all 21 games for the Golden Eagles. Earned a CCAA All-Academic Award.

At Southwestern College: Was a member of a team that won a league championship in 2012-13. Team went undefeated in Pacific Coast Conference play in 2013 and qualified for the state championships.

At Torrey Pines High School: Team won a CIF title in 2012. Was a tournament Most Valuable Player.

Personal: Son of Salih and Hamide Gultoprak. Majoring in international business. Enjoys fifa, the beach and hanging out with friends. Lists winning the NCAA West Region championship with Cal State L.A. in 2014 as his most exciting experience in sports.
