2015: Was on the roster, but did not compete in any games for the Golden Eagles in his final year with the program. For his career, appeared and started in 21 games. Played a total of 1,994 minutes.

2014: Suffered an off-season injury and was unable to compete for the Golden Eagles.

2013: Had a sensational first season with the Golden Eagles as a true freshman. Started all 21 games for the Golden Eagles as a defender and was instrumental in helping the team set a new program record for fewest goals in a season, tie a program mark for most shutouts and rank fifth nationally in goals against average. Was second on the team in minutes played with 1,994.

At Warren High School: Was named the CIF Division 2 Most Valuable Player after helping his team to a CIF championship. Also earned first-team All-Long Beach Press Telegram “Dream Team” honors and first-team All-League honors.

Personal: Son of Jaime Castillo and Alma Gutierrez. Majoring in accounting. Enjoys traveling and cooking. Lists winning the Dallas Cup and winning the CIF title in their home stadium as his most exciting experiences in sports.
