Cal State LA Athletics

2018: Had another strong season for the Golden Eagles in his final year with the program. Appeared in a career-high 20 games and played a total of 716 minutes. Had one goal and two assists for four points. Scored the team's third goal in a 5-1 win over Humboldt State on Sept. 21. Had an assist on a goal by Edgar Jimenez Perez in a 5-0 win over Cal State Dominguez Hills on Sept. 26. Also had an assist on a goal by Tim Klefisch in a 2-0 win over Cal State Monterey Bay on Oct. 6. For his career, appeared in 48 games and made 11 starts. Played a total of 1,944 minutes. Had four goals and three assists for 11 points.

2017: Contributed once again for the Golden Eagles. Appeared in nine games and started three times for Cal State LA. Had six shots, five of them on goal. Played a season-high 50 minutes and had a pair of shots at Humboldt State on Oct. 22.

2016: Made some big contributions in his first playing action for the Golden Eagles. Was fourth on the team in scoring with three goals and one assist for a total of seven points. Appeared in 19 games and made eight starts. Had a goal and an assist in Cal State LA’s 6-2 win over Saint Martin’s in the season opener on Sept. 1. Also had a goal in a 3-1 win over Cal State Monterey Bay on Sept. 30 and had the first goal in a 2-1 win at Cal Poly Pomona in the first round of the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championship Tournament.

2015: Was on the roster for a second season, but did not compete in any games.

2014: Joined the program, but did not compete in any games for the Golden Eagles.

At Daniel Pearl Magnet High School: Earned first-team All-League honors as a junior and senior.

Personal: Son of Roberto and Maribel Hinojosa. Majoring in Kinesiology. Enjoys reading books, watching movies and playing the guitar.  Lists winning the CCAA Tournament in 2017 as his most exciting experience in sports.
