Cal State LA Athletics

2020: Earned 2020-21 California Collegiate Athletic Association All-Academic honors. Team did not compete due to COVID-19.

2019: Showed tremendous improvement for the Golden Eagles and had an increased role on the team. Appeared in all 23 games and started six times. Played a total of 1,064 minutes. Had one goal and three assists for five points. Scored his first career goal for the Golden Eagles late in the first half of a 3-0 win at San Francisco State on Nov. 7. Picked up an assist on a game-tying goal in the 85^th minute by Daniel Simonis in a 1-1 tie at Cal State San Bernardino on Oct. 17. Also had an assist on the game-winning goal by Morten Bjoershol late in the first half of a 2-1 victory at Humboldt State on Nov. 9. Picked up an assist on a game-tying goal by Carl Solli in a 1-1 tie against Cal Poly Pomona in the CCAA Tournament championship game on Nov. 17. Made his first career start for Cal State LA and played 57 minutes in a 4-0 win over Northwest Nazarene on Sept. 5.

2018: Had a strong season for the Golden Eagles. Appeared in 11 games and played in all four postseason games for Cal State LA. Had three assists and a total of three points. Played a total of 300 minutes. Made his first career appearance and had an assist in a 5-1 win over Humboldt State on Sept. 21. Had a pair of assists in an 8-1 win over Cal State East Bay on Oct. 4.

2017: Did not compete in any games for the Golden Eagles and was a redshirt.

At Cathedral High School: Earned first-team All-CIF and first-team All-League honors. Named to the All-Tournament team at the Lotto Showcase. Was on the “B” Honor Roll for two years and the “A” Honor Roll for one semester.

Personal: Son of Andy and Miriam Garcia. Pursuing a Master’s degree in business administration. Enjoys playing FIFA with friends and hanging out with friends. Lists going to Spain to participate in the MIC Cup in Barcelona as his most exciting experience in sports.
