Cal State LA Athletics

2021: Had a sensational season for the national champions in his one year with the Cal State LA program. Was named the California Collegiate Athletic Association Freshman of the Year. Appeared in 21 games with 20 starts and was part of a lockdown defensive backline that helped Cal State LA record 13 shutouts. Was also named to the CCAA Championships All-Tournament team after helping the Golden Eagles to the conference tournament title. Made his Cal State LA debut and played 30 minutes against Simon Fraser on Sept. 5. Got his first start against Azusa Pacific on Sept. 10. Earned 2021-22 CCAA All-Academic honors.

At ProCivitas Gymnasium: Competed in soccer.

Personal: Son of Joakim and Pirjo Olsen. Majoring in business administration. Enjoys golf and soccer. Lists winning Sweden’s highest U17 league as his most exciting experiences in sports.
