2021: Was on the roster for the national champions, but did not compete in any games for the Golden Eagles in his final year with the program. For his career, appeared in 12 games and played a total of 251 minutes. Had two assists for two points.

2020: Was on the roster, but team did not compete due to COVID-19.

2019: Made contributions for the Golden Eagles once again in his second season on the field. Appeared in three games and played a total of 56 minutes. Had one assist for a second straight season. Picked up an assist on a goal by Aiden Wait early in the second half of a 4-0 win over Northwest Nazarene on Sept. 5. Played a season-high 28 games in the victory. Also played 17 minutes in a 2-0 victory over Concordia-Irvine on Sept. 9 and 11 minutes in a 5-1 win over Stanislaus State on Sept. 27. Received 2019-20 California Collegiate Athletic Association All-Academic honors.

2018: Saw his first on-field action and made some strong contributions for the Golden Eagles. Appeared in nine games and played a total of 195 minutes. Picked up an assist while playing a season-high 41 minutes of a 5-0 win over Cal State Dominguez Hills on Sept. 26.

2017: Was on the team’s roster for a second season, but did not compete in any games.

2016: Was on the team roster, but did not compete in any games and was a redshirt.

At El Camino High School: Competed in soccer, football and basketball. Was the team’s Most Valuable Player and Offensive Player of the Year as a senior. Earned All-League honors and led the league in goals and assists. Played on the varsity team as a freshman.

Personal: Son of Jim and Diana Nelson. Majoring in business administration-management. Enjoys snowboarding, long-boarding and lifting weights. Lists scoring a hat trick against his high school’s rival team in a game they won 3-2 as his most exciting experience in sports.
