Biography

2023: Had another outstanding season for the Golden Eagles in his final year with the program. Appeared in all 22 games with four starts. Played a total of 696 minutes. Was second on the team with seven goals, two assists and 16 points. Earned All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honorable mention recognition. Had the second multi-goal game of his career when he scored twice in a 4-2 win against Cal State Dominguez Hills on Nov. 2. Scored the game’s first goal in the fifth minute and then put the game away with the final goal in the 89th minute. Had goals in three consecutive games, the game-winner in a 3-1 win over Point Loma on Sept. 16, the lone goal in a 1-1 tie at Cal State Dominguez Hills on Sept. 23 and the final goal in a 5-0 win over San Francisco State on Sept. 29. Had a goal and an assist in a 3-2 win over Stanislaus State and had a goal in Cal State LA’s 3-3 tie with Colorado State Pueblo in the NCAA Super Region 4 title game on Dec. 3. For his career, appeared in 61 games with seven starts. Played a total of 1,909 minutes. Had 15 goals and eight assists for 38 points.

2022: Had a spectacular season for the Golden Eagles and was one of the team’s leading scorers. Appeared in 16 games with three starts. Played a total of 477 minutes. Had five goals and 10 points. Was tied for third on the team with five goals. Had the first multi-goal game of his career by scoring twice in a 6-0 win over Cal Poly Pomona on Sept. 17. Made the key play of the game by stealing the ball and lofting a shot into an open net to give Cal State LA a 2-0 lead in the 58th minute. Added a goal in the 75th minute to extend the lead to 5-0. Earned CCAA Player of the Week honors for the week of Sept. 12-18. Scored his first goal of the season in a 6-0 win over Saint Martin’s on Aug. 25. Scored on a free kick in the 77th minute for the team’s final goal. Also had the team’s third goal in a 3-1 win at Azusa Pacific on Sept. 10. Opened the scoring in the 29th minute of a 2-2 tie against Cal State San Bernardino on Oct. 9. Missed three weeks with injury, but returned for the final four games of the season.

2021: Had an outstanding season for the national champions and showed tremendous improvement in the return to competition. Appeared in 21 games and played a total of 668 minutes. Had two goals and five assists for nine points. Scored one of the biggest goals of the season when his perfect strike on a free kick was the game-winning goal in a 2-1 win over Cal Poly Pomona in the CCAA Tournament championship game on Nov. 4. Scored his first goal of the season in a 4-0 win over Stanislaus State on Oct. 10. Picked up his first career assist on a goal by Jose Orellana in a 3-1 win at San Francisco State on Oct. 1. Had his first career two-assist game in a 3-0 win over Cal State East Bay on Oct. 8. Had an assist on a game-tying goal by Lucas Rosales in a 1-1 draw at Cal State Monterey Bay on Oct. 24. Had his final assist of the season on a goal by Simon Johansen in a 3-0 win over Humboldt State on Oct. 31.

2020: Was on the roster, but team did not compete due to COVID-19.

2019: Contributed for the Golden Eagles in his second year with the program and competed on the field for the first time. Appeared in two games and played a total of 68 minutes. Had one goal and two points. Made his Cal State LA debut and scored a goal early in the second half of a 4-0 win over Northwest Nazarene on Sept. 5. The goal put the Golden Eagles ahead, 2-0. Played a season-high 46 minutes. Also played 22 minutes in a 5-1 win over Stanislaus State on Sept. 27.

2018: Did not compete in any games and was a redshirt.

At Palos Verdes High School: Earned second-team All-CIF and second-team All-League honors in soccer.

Personal: Son of Oscar Wait and Stephanie Streisand. Majoring in Kinesiology: Exercise Science. Enjoys cooking, going to the beach and spending time with family and friends. Lists winning the 2021 National Championship as his most exciting experience in sports.
