Biography

2023: Had another tremendous season for the Golden Eagles in his final year with the program. Was named the California Collegiate Athletic Association Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year, becoming the first student-athlete from Cal State LA to win that award since 2005. Appeared in 13 games with 10 starts and played a total of 570 minutes. Had four goals and one assist for nine points. Was fourth on the team in goals and sixth in points. Earned All-CCAA honorable mention and was on the CCAA All-Tournament team for the third time in his career after helping the Golden Eagles to regular-season and tournament titles. Scored his first goal of the season in a 3-0 win at Biola and notched goals in back-to-back wins at Sonoma State on Oct. 27 and Cal Poly Humboldt on Oct. 29. Scored the opening goal against Colorado State-Pueblo in the NCAA quarterfinals at Midwestern State. Earned CCAA Fall Academic Honor Roll recognition. For his career, appeared in 70 games with 49 starts. Played a total of 3,499 minutes. Had 16 goals and 14 assists for 46 points. Had the primary assist on Simon Johansen’s game-winning goal in the 2021 NCAA Championship game against Charleston. Earned a 2023-24 D2 Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award and 2023 CCAA Honor Roll recognition.

2022: Had a sensational season for the Golden Eagles and was one of the leaders on the team. Appeared in all 20 games and started 16 times. Played a total of 1.007 minutes. Had three goals and three assists for nine points. Was seventh on the team in points. Scored all three of his goals in the final eight games of the season. Notched his first goal of the season in the 57th minute of a 3-0 win over Sonoma State on Oct. 14. Had back-to-back game-winning goals in road games at Cal State East Bay on Oct. 23 and Cal Poly Pomona on Oct. 27. Gave the Golden Eagles a 2-0 lead in the 60th minute of a 2-1 win over the Pioneers and had the game’s only goal in the 48th minute of a 1-0 win over the Broncos in the final conference game of the season. Played 62 and 63 minutes in CCAA Tournament wins over Sonoma State on Nov. 4 and Cal State Dominguez Hills on Nov. 6 and played 66 minutes in NCAA playoff game against Northwest Nazarene on Nov. 12. Earned a 2022-23 Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award and received 2022 CCAA Fall Academic Honor Roll recognition.

2021: Had another outstanding season for the national champions and was one of the team’s top scorers once again. Was fourth on the team in scoring with two goals and seven assists and second on the team with seven assists. Had an assist on the biggest goal in program history when he got the ball over beautifully to Simon Johansen for the lone goal in a 1-0 win over Charleston in the national championship game on Dec. 11. Appeared in 19 games and had 15 starts. Played a total of 904 minutes. Had assists in five of the last six and six of the last eight games of the season. Was outstanding in Cal State LA’s run through the postseason. Was named to the all-tournament teams of the CCAA Championships and the NCAA Championships for the second time in his career. Scored his first goal of the season in the final minute of a 3-2 win over Chico State on Oct. 29. Had a goal and an assist in a 3-1 win over Cal Poly Pomona in the CCAA Championship Game. Scored the first goal and assisted on the second to help Cal State LA to a 3-0 lead. Assisted on the game-tying goal in a 2-1 win over Cal Poly Pomona in the regular-season finale when his shot off the crossbar was knocked in by Gonzalo Talavera. Had an assist on Gerard Hernando’s overtime winner in a 2-1 playoff win over Colorado Mesa on Dec. 2. Also assisted on David Elizaga’s game-winner in a 1-0 win over Cal Poly Pomona in the Super Region 4 title game on Dec. 4. Made the historic pass to an onrushing Simon Johansen late in the first half of the 1-0 win over Charleston in the national championship game. Earned 2021-22 CCAA All-Academic honors and received 2021 CCAA Fall Academic Honor Roll recognition.

2020: Earned 2020 CCAA Fall Academic Honor Roll recognition. Team did not compete due to COVID-19.

2019: Had a remarkable season for the Golden Eagles and was one of the team's top scorers. Appeared in 18 games for the Golden Eagles with six starts. Played a total of 1,018 minutes. Had seven goals and three assists for 17 points. Was tied for second in goals and tied for third on the team in scoring. Was named to the CCAA All-Tournament team after scoring goals in each of the Golden Eagles' two CCAA Tournament games. Had four goals in Cal State LA's seven postseason games. Made his Cal State LA debut and had an assist in a 5-1 win over Stanislaus State on Sept. 27. Scored his first goals with a three-goal hat trick in a 6-0 win over Cal State Dominguez Hills on Oct. 9. Scored the Golden Eagles' first goal in a 2-0 win over Cal State San Bernardino in a CCAA Tournament semi-final game on Nov. 15 and had the team's lone goal in a 1-1 tie with Cal Poly Pomona in the CCAA Tournament title game on Nov. 17. Scored the team's only goal in a 1-1 tie with St. Mary's in a Super Region 4 semi-final game on Dec. 5. Also converted his shootout attempt as Cal State LA advanced in the playoffs. Assisted on both Cal State LA's goals in a 2-0 win over Cal State San Bernardino in the Super Region 4 championship match on Dec. 7. Scored in the 21st minute of a 3-0 win over UIndy in the national semi-final game on Dec. 12. Was named to the NCAA Championships All-Tournament Team. Received CCAA 2019 Fall All-Academic honors. Earned Cal State LA’s Newcomer of the Year award.

2018: Did not compete for the Golden Eagles due to injury and was a redshirt.

At Sandefjord Videregaende: Competed in soccer.

Personal: Son of Hans Christian Solli and Agnethe Dokker. Majoring in computer science. Enjoys board games, poker, programming and filmmaking. Lists winning the 2021 NCAA championship and getting to play at Old Trafford Stadium as his most exciting experiences in sports. Jokes he’s been at Cal State LA since its inception in 1947.
