2023: Was on the roster, but did not compete in any games for the Golden Eagles in his second and final year with the program. Earned a 2023-24 D2 Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award.

2022: Was on the roster, but did not compete in any games for the Golden Eagles in his first year with the program. Earned a 2022-23 D2 Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award.

At University of Central Arkansas: Was on the roster for the NCAA Division I 2021 ASUN Conference regular-season champions.

At Meijigakuin High School: Team participated in the national championships in Japan in 2016 and 2018 and was a Kanto Region champion in 2017.

Personal: Son of Yoshitsugu and Kayo Hirai. Majoring in business marketing. Enjoys fishing, reading books, working out and watching baseball. Lists winning the Kanto Region with his high school team as his most exciting experience in sports.
