Biography

2024: Had a third sensational season and was one of the team’s best players in his final year with the program. Appeared in all 21 games with 17 starts. Played a total of 1,117 minutes. Had two goals and six assists for 10 points. Led the team in assists and was third in points. Was named the California Collegiate Athletic Association Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 16-22. Scored his first goal of the season, the game-winner, in the 60th minute of a 1-0 win over MSU Denver on Sept. 22 and had the first multi-assist game of his career when he picked up two in a 4-1 win over Colorado School of Mines on Sept. 20. Assisted on goals by Luke Varav and Oscar Warne in a four-minute span late in the game. Had a goal and an assist in a 3-1 win over Cal State Monterey Bay in a CCAA Tournament game in University Stadium on Nov. 10. Scored the Golden Eagles’ third goal in the 53rd minute. Also assisted on a goal by Roei Mordechay in the 20th minute. Assisted on a game-tying goal by Rene Cortez in the 82nd minute of a 2-1 win over Cal Poly Humboldt on Oct. 13 and assisted on a first-half goal by Oscar Warne in a 1-1 tie at Cal State San Bernardino on Oct. 20. Also assisted on a goal by Warne in a 1-1 tie at Cal State Monterey Bay on Nov. 3. Played a career-high 78 minutes in a CCAA Tournament semifinal game against Cal State Dominguez Hills on Nov. 15. For his career, appeared in 60 games with 32 starts. Had nine goals and eight assists for 26 points.

2023: Had an outstanding season for the Golden Eagles in his second year with the program. Appeared in 19 games with 11 starts. Played a total of 846 minutes. Had four goals and two assists for 10 points. Was fourth on the team in goals and tied for fourth in points. Had the second multi-goal game of his career with a pair of goals in a 4-2 win over Cal State Dominguez Hills on Nov. 2. Gave the Golden Eagles a 2-1 lead with a goal in the 43rd minute and broke a 2-2 tie with a goal in the 77th minute. Earned California Collegiate Athletic Association Player of the Week honors for the week of Oct. 30-Nov. 3. Picked up his first goal just 43 seconds into a 1-0 win at Cal State East Bay on Oct. 6. Also scored a goal just 3:35 into a 5-0 win over Cal State San Bernardino on Oct. 15. Got an assist on a goal by Carl Solli in the 32nd minute of a 3-0 win at Biola on Sept. 9. Also assisted on a goal by Jeppe Paulsen in the 12th minute of a 5-0 win over San Francisco State on Sept. 29. Earned 2023 CCAA Fall Academic Honor Roll recognition.

2022: Had a strong debut for the Golden Eagles in his first year with the program. Appeared in all 20 games with four starts. Played a total of 656 minutes. Had three goals and six points. Made his Cal State LA debut and got the start in a 6-0 win over Saint Martin’s on Aug. 25. Played a season-high 57 minutes. Scored both goals in a 2-0 win at Cal State San Marcos on Oct. 6. Scored a goal in each half. Put the Golden Eagles ahead in the 33rd minute with assists from A’Tonal Torres and Jacob Chong. Made it 2-0 in the 56th minute with an assist from Torres. Scored his third goal of the season on a bicycle kick from inside the box in the 86th minute of a 4-0 win against San Francisco State on Oct. 16. Earned a 2022-23 D2 Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award and 2022-23 CCAA All-Academic honors.

At Oklahoma City University: Earned first-team All-Conference honors. Scored 14 goals with eight assists for 36 points. Played in 27 games over two seasons with 18 goals and nine assists for 45 points. Was on the Dean’s List and Honor Roll in 2021. Earned an academic scholarship in 2020 and earned his Business Plan completion in 2022.

At Liceo A Ruiz High School: Competed in soccer. Earned All-Academic recognition. Won Player of the Year and Player of the Week honors and received All-Conference honors. Team won regional and national championships.

Personal: Son of Massimo and Giovanna Belli. Majoring in business administration-finance. Enjoys cooking, music and reading. Lists winning two straight CCAA Tournaments in 2022 and 2023 as his most exciting experience in sports.
