Cal State LA Athletics

2024: Had a big impact for the Golden Eagles in his one year with the program. Appeared in all 21 games with 12 starts. Played a total of 956 minutes. Had one assist. Made his Cal State LA debut and played 25 minutes in a 2-0 win at Fresno Pacific on Sept. 5. Made his first start and played 55 minutes in a 4-1 win over Colorado School of Mines on Sept. 20. Also started and got an assist on the game’s only goal, a second-half score from Tommaso Belli in a 1-0 win over MSU Denver on Sept. 22. Played a season-high 64 minutes in a 3-1 win over Cal State Monterey Bay in a first-round California Collegiate Athletic Association Tournament game in University Stadium on Nov. 10. Started for the Golden Eagles in the final 10 games of the season. Earned 2024 CCAA Fall Academic Honor Roll recognition and a 2024-25 D2 Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award.

At Central Connecticut State: Appeared in 50 games with 48 starts for the Blue Devils. Earned second-team Northeast Conference honors in 2023 and also in 2021. An outstanding student, has earned Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Communicators twice and was on the Northeast Conference Academic Honor Roll in 2023.

At Linda Marquez High School: Was a two-time Defensive Player of the Year and a team Most Valuable Player. Earned first-team All-League honors. Team won three league championships. Named Rookie of the Year. Was on a team that won a pair of National Cup championships.

Personal: Son of Ramon and Bertha Farias. Majored in Kinesiology and is pursuing a Master’s degree. Enjoys working out. Lists winning National Cup championships in back-to-back seasons with his club team as his most exciting experience in sports.
