Cal State LA Athletics

2024: Was a major contributor for the Golden Eagles in his one year with the program. Appeared in 20 games with 13 starts. Played a total of 1,013 minutes. Had one assist. Made his Cal State LA debut and played 19 minutes in a 2-0 win at Fresno Pacific on Sept. 5. Made his first start and played 46 minutes in a 1-0 win over MSU Denver on Sept. 22. Picked up an assist on a goal by Luke Varav in the 76^th minute. Played a season-high 74 minutes in NCAA Tournament game at Colorado State-Pueblo on Dec. 1. Started the final eight games of the season for the Golden Eagles. Earned 2024-25 California Collegiate Athletic Association All-Academic honors.

At Mississippi College: Appeared and started in 15 games. Played a total of 1,251 minutes, which was fourth on the team. Had one goal and two assists for four points.

At Indian Hills CC: Appeared in 42 games with 41 starts for the community college in Iowa. Had 16 goals and nine assists for 41 points. Team won a conference championship in 2022. Earned All-Conference honorable mention in 2022.

At Sano Nihon University High School: Won the Prefecture Tournament in 2020.

Personal: Son of Kazuhito Tani. Majoring in finance. Enjoys listening to jazz. Lists winning a championship as his most exciting experience in sports.
