2024: Made big contributions for the Golden Eagles and was a key contributor until missing the final 10 games of the season due to injury. Appeared in 11 games with eight starts. Played a total of 550 minutes. Had one assist for one point. Made his first career start and played a season-high 71 minutes in a 2-0 win at Fresno Pacific on Sept. 5. Picked up an assist on a game-winning goal by Oscar Warne in the 77^th minute of a 2-1 win at Stanislaus State on Oct. 6. Made his final appearance for the Golden Eagles and played 51 minutes in a 1-1 tie against Cal Poly Pomona on Oct. 17. For his career, appeared in 32 games for the Golden Eagles with eight starts. Played a total of 1,104 minutes. Had two assists for two points.

2023: Made immediate contributions for the Golden Eagles in his first year with the program. Appeared in 21 games and played a total of 554 minutes. Picked up one assist for one point. Made his Cal State LA debut and played 31 minutes in a 1-0 win over Regis on Aug. 31. Record an assist on a goal by Eduardo Castellanos in the 43^rd minute of a 5-0 win over San Francisco State on Sept. 29. Played a season-high 49 minutes in a 3-2 win over Stanislaus State on Oct. 22.

At Cal State Northridge: Appeared in 36 games and started 20 times for the Matadors. Had three assists and three points. Played a total of 1,660 minutes.

At Elk Grove Charter High School: Did not play high school soccer because of the DA Academy. Was on the school’s Honor Roll each year in high school.

Personal: Son of Gualberto and Linda Cardenas. Majoring in communications. Enjoys video games, gym, barber and personal trainer. Lists playing the best Division I schools on the West Coast as his most exciting experience in sports.
