2018: Made meaningful contributions in his one year with the program. Appeared in 13 games and played a total of 426 minutes. Had two assists and two points. Made his Cal State LA debut and played 39 minutes in a 1-0 win at Stanislaus State on Sept. 16. Had an assist on the game-winning goal by Leonardo Nogueira. Also had an assist on a goal by Jonathan Hinojosa in a 5-1 win over Humboldt State on Sept. 21. Played a season-high 81 minutes in a 0-0 tie at San Francisco State on Sept. 28. Played 10 minutes in NCAA playoff game at Azusa Pacific on Nov. 10.

At East Los Angeles College: Earned first-year All-South Coast Conference honors in his second year with the program and second-team honors in his first year.

At Cathedral High School: Competed in soccer. Was on the school’s Honor Roll.

Personal: Son of Jorge Sr. and Lulu Chavez. Majoring in sociology. Enjoys hiking and spending time with friends. Lists the opening day at Banc of California Stadium with LAFC as his most exciting experience in sports. Notes he loves sports and family time and friends.
