Cal State LA Athletics

2012: Had a third strong season for the Golden Eagles in his final year with the program. Appeared in and started 45 games. Hit .297 with 52 hits in 175 at bats. Had three home runs, seven doubles, 27 runs scored and 26 runs batted in. Went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in an 11-1 win against Concordia on Feb. 8. Hit solo home runs at Cal State Dominguez Hills on Feb. 25 and at Cal State San Bernardino on March 10. Matched his season-high with three RBI while going 2-for-4 in a 20-6 win at Biola on Feb. 13. For his career, appeared in 136 games with 126 starts. Hit .305 with 153 hits in 501 at bats. Had seven home runs, 24 doubles, 81 runs scored and 73 RBI. Also pitched and appeared in 23 games with two starts. Had a 2-7 record with a 9.57 earned run average and two saves. Walked 40 and struck out 24 in 36 2/3 innings pitched. 

2011: Had an outstanding second season with the Golden Eagles and earned second-team All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honors. Hit .366 and led the team with 53 hits. Had one home run, 18 runs batted in and scored 26 runs. Hit his only home run and scored three runs against Cal State Dominguez Hills on March 26. Recorded a career-high four hits at Cal State Stanislaus on April 30. Had three hits in a game five times, including three straight games against Cal State East Bay on March 4-5. Was 9-for-13 in the first three games of the series. Had hits in each game of the UC San Diego series on March 31-April 2, going 9-for-17 in the four games. Finished the season riding a five-game hitting streak. Also made seven pitching appearances, all in relief. Was 1-1 with a 5.79 earned run average. Didn’t allow a run in his first four outings.
 
2010: Contributed to the Golden Eagles as a position player and a pitcher in his Cal State L.A. debut. Hit .265 with 48 hits in 181 at bats. Had three home runs, 29 RBI and 28 runs scored. Was second on the team in RBI. Went 3-for-7 with a season-high three RBI at San Francisco State on March 7. Also had three hits and scored three times against Sonoma State on April 24. Had 16 multi-hit games and hit safely in 29 of 44 starts. Also made 16 appearances on the mound. Had a 1-6 record with two saves and a 10.87 earned run average. Blanked Cal State Stanislaus on two hits over four innings to pick up the win on Feb. 21. Got the final five outs in an 8-6 win over Cal State Dominguez Hills on Feb. 11 for his first save on Feb. 11 and got the final two outs in a 5-4 win at San Francisco State on March 5 for his second save. Pitched a total of 27 1/3 innings.
 
At Moorpark College: Earned first-team All-Southern California and first-team All-Western State Conference honors in 2009. Hit .319 with three home runs and 33 RBI and also went 2-1 as a pitcher with a 2.68 earned run average. Made 14 appearances on the mound, including six starts. Struck out 36 batters in 53 2/3 innings.
 
At Royal High School: Earned All-County first-team honors and was named the Rookie of the Year.
 
Personal: Son of Daniel and Rose Quick. Majoring in Kinesiolgoy. Enjoys skateboarding and snowboarding. Lists hitting his first high school grand slam against Agoura as his most exciting experience in sports. Was born in the Philippines.
