Summary

Biography

2012: Contributed for the Golden Eagles in his second and final year with the program. Appeared in 12 games and started six times. Hit .179 with five hits in 28 at bats. Had one home run, one double, six runs scored and six runs batted in. Went 1-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI in a 15-5 win at California Baptist in the season opener on Feb. 1. Went 2-for-4 with a double, run scored and RBI in the second game of a doubleheader against Sonoma State on April 14. His fifth-inning double broke a 7-7 tie in a 9-8 Cal State L.A. win. Hit a pinch-hit, three-run home run in his final game with the program at Dixie State on May 5. For his career, appeared in 29 games and started 14 times. Hit .172  with 11 hits in 64 at bats. Had one home run, one double, one triple, nine runs scored and 11 RBI. Signed with the Detroit Tigers' organization as a free agent after the season.

2011: Hit .167 with six hits in 36 bats for the Golden Eagles in his first season with the program. Went 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBI against Cal State Dominguez Hills on April 23. Did not commit an error in 13 chances at first base. Made eight starts. Was the California Collegiate League Most Valuable Player during the summer.
                                               
At Central Arizona JC: Competed for two years. Appeared in 40 games in 2009 and hit .289 with two home runs, 17 runs scored and 17 RBI. Was limited to eight games in 2010 and had four hits in 17 at bats with one home run, five RBI and one run scored.
 
At Phoenix Desert Vista High School: Competed in the Area Codes Games in 2006 and earned All-Region honors.
 
Personal: Son of Rod and Adrien Allen. Majoring in marketing. Enjoys sports, movies and video games. Lists the 2011 California Collegiate League All-Star game and the NJCAA District Playoffs as his most exciting experiences in sports. Has been selected in the Major League Baseball Draft three times, most recently in the 45th round by the Detroit Tigers in 2011. Was also drafted in the 43rd round in 2007 by the Arizona Diamondbacks and in the 43rd round of the 2009 draft by the Detroit Tigers.
