2012: Had another strong season for the Golden Eagles in his second and final year with the program. Appeared in 34 games and started 26 times. Hit .304 with 31 hits in 102 at bats. Had two home runs, five doubles, 14 runs scored and 18 runs batted in. Hit a ninth-inning grand slam to spark a five-run rally in a 7-6 victory at Cal State Dominguez Hills on Feb. 25. Also went 3-for-4 with a run scored and one RBI in a win over Cal State Dominguez Hills on Feb. 24. Had seven multi-hit games. For his career, appeared in 73 games and started 64 times. Hit .275 with 65 hits in 236 at bats. Had three home runs, 14 doubles, 29 runs scored and 37 RBI.

2011: Made a big impact for the Golden Eagles in his first year with the program. Hit .248 with one home run and 19 RBI. Also scored 15 runs. Appeared in 39 games and started 38 times. Had a home run and season-high three RBI against Cal State East Bay on March 5. Also drove in three runs against California Baptist on Feb. 8 and UC San Diego on April 1.
 
At Long Beach City College: Hit .250 with 21 hits in 84 at bats in 2010. Had two home runs, drove in 16 runs and scored nine runs. Was on the school’s Honor Roll.
 
At Golden West College: Hit .179 with 10 hits in 56 at bats in 2009. Drove in three runs and scored five times. Was on the school’s Honor Roll.
 
At Los Alamitos High School: Earned second-team All-Sunset League honors and the team’s Gold Glove award. Was on the school’s Honor Roll.
 
Personal: Son of Ken and Gayle Compton. Majoring in business. Enjoys the beach and video games. Lists winning the league and playing in the CIF playoffs in his senior year at Los Alamitos High School as his most exciting experience in sports. Has a twin brother, David, on the Golden Eagle roster.
