Summary

Biography

2012: Had a second strong season for the Golden Eagles in his second and final year with the program. Appeared in 24 games and started 20 times. Hit .361 with 22 hits in 61 at bats. Had two home runs, four doubles, 12 runs scored and eight runs batted in. Had a tremendous start to the season, going 3-for-5 with a home run, a double, two runs scored and three RBI in a 15-5 win at California Baptist on Feb. 1. Also went 3-for-4 with a double, home run and two RBI in a 20-6 win at Biola on Feb. 13. Missed nearly a month of the season, but returned to go 7-for-12 with three runs scored and two RBI in three games against Cal Poly Pomona. Had a season-high three hits five times and had a total of seven multi-hit games. For his career, appeared in 73 games with 68 starts. Hit ..289 with 68 hits in 235 at bats. Had 10 home runs, 16 doubles, one triple, 49 runs scored and 31 RBI. Was selected by Tampa Bay in the 38th round of the Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft.

2011: Made a big impact for the Golden Eagles in his first season with the program. Earned second-team All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honors. Hit .264 and led the team in home runs with eight and runs scored with 37. Led the team in stolen bases as well with nine in 10 attempts. Was also fourth on the team with 23 runs batted in. Had an explosive debut for Cal State L.A. and hit two home runs in the season opener against Saint Martin’s on Feb. 3. Went 4-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI against Cal State East Bay on March 4. Also had three hits, including a pair of home runs, against Cal State Stanislaus on April 30. Had a season-high three RBI at Chico State on April 16. Also drove in three runs against Saint Martin’s on Feb. 5. Had 15 multi-hit games.
 
At BYU: Appeared in 38 games over two seasons and started 20 times. Hit .351 as a sophomore in 2009 with five home runs and 17 RBI. Also scored 13 runs. Ended the season with a five-game hitting streak. Had five RBI, including a home run, in season-opening win against UNLV. Also hit home runs against Utah, Western Carolina, Washington State and Kansas State. Hit .214 as a freshman with six hits in 28 at bats in 2008. Had a two-run home run against Air Force.
 
At Crescenta Valley High School: Was a scholar-athlete. Hit .424 as a senior. Was a four-year starter in a program that won four straight league championships. Earned All-CIF honors twice and was recognized as one of the top 10 catchers in Southern California by the Los Angeles Times. Was also on a football team that won a Pacific League championship. Was the team Most Valuable Player as a freshman.
 
Personal: Son of Rob and Violette Nacapoy. Majoring in Kinesiology. Lists hitting two home runs in his first game at Cal State L.A. as his most exciting experience in sports.
