2010: Was on the roster, but did not compete for the Golden Eagles in his final year with the program.

2009: Had a solid freshman campaign for the Golden Eagles. Recorded a 3-0 record with a 7.07 earned run average. Appeared in 17 games and made four starts. Walked nine and struck out 40 in 35 2/3 innings pitched. Earned his first victory against San Francisco State when he allowed nine hits and four runs over five innings of a 10-5 win on Feb. 21. Didn’t walk a batter and struck out five. Got his second win against Cal State Dominguez Hills, retiring the only two batters he faced in a come-from-behind 6-5 win on March 27. His final victory was his most impressive. Allowed only four hits and one run while striking out a season-high 10 over five innings of a 6-1 victory over Concordia-Irvine on April 13. Also had five strikeouts over 2 1/3 innings in a relief appearance against Vanguard on April 29.

At Temple City High School: Earned league and team Most Valuable Player honors in 2008. Earned first-team All-Area and first-taem All-League honors in 2007 and 2008. Received All-CIF honors in 2007 and 2008. Was 6-3 with a 1.29 earned run average with five saves as a senior and also hit .369 as a first baseman.

Personal: Son of Ron and Kristen Dearth. Is an undeclared major. Enjoys golf and wakeboarding. Lists being part of a 2005 Babe Ruth World Series champion, getting to pitch in Yankee Stadium as part of the 2007 Area-Code Games and hitting a walk-off grand slam in 2007 as his most exciting experiences in sports.
