Biography

2010: Had a second outstanding season for the Golden Eagles in his final year with the program. Appeared in 49 games with 48 starts. Hit .310 with 61 hits in 197 at bats. Had one home run, 10 doubles, three triples, 37 runs scored and 29 runs batted in. Was third on the team in runs scored and fifth in batting average. Earned All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honorable mention. Also made one relief appearance on the mound and gave up two hits and one run in one inning. Had a 0-0 record with a 9.00 earned run average. Went 4-for-4 with a pair of doubles, a triple, three runs scored and a season-high four RBI against Sonoma State on April 24. Went 2-for-5 with two runs scored and three RBI in a 17-6 win at San Francisco State on March 7. Hit a go-ahead three-run home run in the fourth inning. Also went 3-for-5 with a double and run scored in his final appearance for the Golden Eagles at Cal State East Bay on May 2.  Had 19 multi-hit games, including six with three or more hits. For his career, appeared in 97 games with 95 starts. Hit .334 with 131 hits in 392 at bats. Had eight home runs, 28 doubles, six triples, 84 runs scored and 70 RBI. Signed a professional contract with the independent St. Louis Gateway Grizzlies after his Cal State L.A. career.

2009: Had an outstanding season for the Golden Eagles in his first year with the program. Was third on the team with a .359 batting average and led the Golden Eagles in runs scored with 47. Had 70 hits in 195 at bats and also drove in 41 runs. Earned second-team All-California Collegiate Athletic Association and second-team ABCA/Rawlings All-West Region honors. Was also named to the 2009 All-CCAA Tournament Team after going 6-for-12 at the plate in three games. In the Golden Eagles’ final game against Sonoma State, went 4-for-4 with four runs scored on May 8. Slugged two home runs and drove in five runs against San Francisco State on Feb. 21. Had a huge series and went 8-for-15 with six runs scored and 10 RBI. Had a four-hit game against Cal State Monterey Bay with two runs scored and three RBI. Hit safely in 40 of 48 games and had 18 multi-hit games. Reached base safely in 45 of the 48 games and had an on-base percentage of .457, which was second on the team.

At Cosumnes River College: Hit .235 with three home runs and 31 RBI in 170 at bats. Stole 10 bases in 13 attempts. Also played for one season at American River College.

At Bear River High School: Was the conference’s Offensive Player of the Year and a scholar-athlete.

Personal: Son of Dean and April Miraldi. Majoring in communications. Enjoys surfing and fishing. Lists being drafted and seeing one of his teammates hit a walk-off grand slam last season against Cal State San Bernardino as his most exciting experiences in sports. Was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in the 39th round out of high school. Father played for seven years in the National Football League and mother played volleyball at UCLA.
