Summary

Biography

2010: Contributed in several ways for the Golden Eagles in his final year with the program. Appeared in 31 games with 19 starts. Hit .222 with 16 hits in 72 at bats. Had one double, nine runs scored and six runs batted. Also pitched for the Golden Eagles and made eight relief appearances. Went 0-1 with a 7.71 earned run average. Walked four and struck out eight in 14 innings pitched. Went 2-for-4 with a run scored in a 5-4 at Cal State Monterey Bay on March 14 and went 2-for-5 with a run scored and one RBI at Cal State Dominguez Hills on March 27. Went 1-for-4 with two RBI in an 8-4 against Cal State Stanislaus on Feb. 19  Gave the Golden Eagles a 2-0 lead with a two-run single in the second inning. For his career, appeared in 70 games with 52 starts. Hit .267 with 54 hits in 202 at bats. Had one home run, nine doubles, 34 runs scored and 24 RBI.

2009: Had an impressive first season with the Golden Eagles. Appeared in 39 games and started 33 times, mainly at second base. Hit .292 with one home run and 18 RBI. Also scored 25 runs. Drove in a season-high four runs with a pair of hits, including a double, at Cal State Dominguez Hills on March 28. Went 3-for-3 and scored a season-high four runs in a 16-6 win over UC San Diego on Feb. 28. Hit his lone home run in that game, a solo shot in the fourth inning. Played solidly in the field and committed seven errors in 157 chances.

At East L.A. College: Hit .326 with 30 runs batted in, one home run and 10 doubles. Also competed for a year at Citrus College.

At Arcadia High School: Was on the Principal’s Honor Roll for four years. Earned All-Pacific League first-team honors twice. Also earned All-CIF and All-Area honors as a senior.

Personal: Son of Kevin and Laurie McQuaid. Majoring in Kinesiology. Enjoys hanging out with friends and family. Lists winning the Babe Ruth World Series in Newark, Ohio, in 2006 and earning All-World Series team honors as his most exciting experiences in sports.
