Cal State LA Athletics

2008: Was a big part of the pitching staff for the Golden Eagles in his one year with the program. Made 12 appearances with one start. Had a 2-1 record with a 4.15 earned run average and two saves. Walked eight and struck out 13 in 26 innings pitched. Made his Cal State L.A. debut and pitched two scoreless innings of relief in a 3-2 win at Cal State Dominguez Hills on March 20. Went 4 2/3 innings and gave up only three hits and one run in his lone start, an 11-3 win over Concordia-Irvine. Got the victory while walking one and striking out four. Had his best outing in a 14-4 win at Cal Poly Pomona on April 25. Allowed one hit and no runs over five shutout innings with no walks and four strikeouts. Picked up a save after allowing only two hits and one run over three innings of relief and got his second save with 1 2/3 innings of scoreless relief in a 9-8 win at San Francisco State on May 3. Represented Greece in the IBAF Baseball World Cup in Panama in 2011.

At Sacramento State: Did not play for the Hornets.

At Sacramento City Junior College: Was part of a state championship runner-up squad. After his freshman season, underwent elbow surgery. In two years combined at American River Junior College and Sacramento City, appeared in 15 games and pitched a total of 25 innings. Was 2-1 with a 6.12 earned run average and two saves.

At El Camino High School: Was a three-year varsity player in baseball and basketball. Earned first-team All-Conference honors as a pitcher during his sophomore and junior year and received second-team recognition as a senior.

Personal: Son of Ted and Lily Bourdaniotis. Majoring in psychology. Enjoys playing basketball, going out with friends, listening to music, dancing, hanging out with family, reading and working out. Lists playing in the state junior college championship in 2006 while at Sacramento City Junior College as his most exciting experience in sports.
