Cal State LA Athletics

2023: Made contributions on the mound for the Golden Eagles in his final year with the program. Appeared in seven games with one start. Had a 0-0 record with a 6.23 earned run average over 13 innings. Made his Cal State LA debut and allowed one run over 1 2/3 innings while striking out a season-high four against Colorado School of Mines on Feb. 19. Pitched a scoreless inning with one strikeout in a win over Cal State San Marcos on March 18. Got his lone start and got a no-decision after 1 2/3 innings of a 9-7 win over Cal State San Bernardino on April 18. Had three scoreless outings in relief.

2022: Was on the roster, but did not compete in any games for the Golden Eagles and was a redshirt.

2021: Was on the roster, but team did not compete due to COVID-19.

At Schurr High School: Was a four-year starter on the varsity baseball team. Earned first-team All-League honors and was the Pitcher of the Year for his school.

Personal: Son of Cesar and Graciela Flores. Majoring in engineering technology. Enjoys working on cars with his dad. Lists hitting a home run against a rival team’s closer during his senior year as his most exciting experience in sports. Said they had played the team previously in the fall and the game was intense with a lot of talking back and forth. Said the moment and energy from the team after the home run was unlike anything else he’d been a part of.
