Cal State LA Athletics

2019: Had a second strong season for the Golden Eagles in his final year with the program. Made six appearances, including two starts. Had a 1-2 record with a 6.46 earned run average. Pitched a total of 15 1/3 innings. Had 10 walks and 11 strikeouts. Pitched a season-high six strong innings and got the win in a 10-7 victory at UC San Diego on April 20. Allowed nine hits and five runs, walked two and struck out a season-high five. Picked up a save in his first appearance of the season for the Golden Eagles, pitching the final inning of a 5-3 win at Cal State Dominguez Hills on March 10. For his career, made 18 appearances with six starts. Had a 2-3 record with a 4.62 ERA and three saves.

2018: Made a big impact in his first season with the program. Made 12 appearances, including four starts for the Golden Eagles. Had a 1-1 record with a 3.78 earned run average and two saves. Had his best start in a California Collegiate Athletic Association Tournament game against Cal Poly Pomona.  Allowed only three hits and one run over five strong innings, walking four and striking out seven. Pitched a total of 33 1/3 innings and struck out 35. Had a streak of five consecutive scoreless relief appearances spanning 13 2/3 innings. Didn’t allow an earned run in six of his 12 appearances. Picked up a win after two scoreless innings of relief at Cal State Dominguez Hills on March 17. Earned his first save after tossing 2 1/3 innings of scoreless relief at Cal Poly Pomona on March 11. Allowed only one hit and struck out three. Picked up his second save with a scoreless inning of relief at Stanislaus State on March 23.Tossed five scoreless innings and allowed only two hits while walking one and striking out five against Cal State Monterey Bay on March 3.
 
At Northwest Nazarene: Was 2-3 with a 5.50 earned run average in 2017. Made 14 appearances, including nine starts. Was third on the staff with 52 1/3 innings pitched. Walked 30 and struck out 42. Allowed five hits and one run against Cal State LA on Feb. 11, 2017. Walked three and struck out six.
 
At College of the Canyons: Made eight appearances in 2016 and pitched a total of 12 1/3 innings. Recorded eight strikeouts.
 
At Chaminade College Prep: Was the varsity Pitcher of the Year and earned second-team All-Mission League honors. Received an All-Star nomination.
 
Personal: Son of Mike and Virginia Suppan. Majoring in graphic design and animation. Lists getting the final win at Northwest Nazarene to land in second place in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference and pitching against Cal State Monterey Bay as his most exciting experiences in sports.
