Cal State LA Athletics

2019: Made contributions on the mound for the Golden Eagles in his final year with the program. Made seven appearances, all in relief, and pitched a total of 12 2/3 innings. Was 0-0 with an 11.37 earned run average. Made his Cal State LA debut and gave up one earned run over 1/2/3 innings against Colorado Mesa on March 9. Struck out two and didn't walk a batter. Pitched a career-high four innings against Cal State East Bay in his final appearance for the program on April 27. Had a season-high three strikeouts over 1 1/3 innings against Cal State Dominguez Hills on March 8. Also had three strikeouts over three innings against Cal State San Bernardino on Feb. 16. 

2018: Was on Cal State LA’s roster, but did not compete in any games and was a redshirt.
 
At Arcadia High School: Competed in baseball.
 
Personal: Son of Jack Miao and Jenny Lu. Majoring in Kinesiology. Enjoys being outdoors, spending time with family and friends and relaxing. Lists being able to travel and play in different states as his most exciting experience in sports. Notes he has a sister, Miranda and a dog, Simba.
