Cal State LA Athletics

2020: Was a key part of the team in his second year with the program before the season was halted. Appeared in nine games with five starts. Hit .200 with three hits in 15 at bats. Scored two runs. Went 2-for-3 in the season-opening 8-2 win over Northwest Nazarene on Feb. 7. Went 1-for-3 and scored the go-ahead run in a 3-1 win over Cal State Monterey Bay on Feb. 14. For his career, appeared in 39 games and started 35 times. Hit .218 with four home runs, 11 RBI and 22 runs scored.

2019: Was a regular contributor in his first year with the program. Appeared in 30 games, all starts. Hit .221 with 23 hits in 104 at bats. Had four home runs and 11 runs batted in with 20 runs scored. Went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI and his first home run of the season at Cal State San Bernardino on Feb. 17. Hit a solo home run against Cal State Dominguez Hills on March 8. Hit his third home run of the season on March 17 against Stanislaus State. Had a strong final game of the season, going 2-for-4 with two runs, three RBI, a double and a home run against Cal State East Bay on April 27.

At LA Pierce College: Earned first-team All-Conference honors in 2018 as a sophomore. Hit .335 with six home runs, 39 runs scored and 35 runs batted in.

At Redlands High School: Earned first-team All-Citrus Belt League honors as a junior and senior. Also competed in football.

Personal: Son of John Tillman and Chantia Johnson. Majoring in sociology. Enjoys Fortnite and basketball. Lists playing at Cal State LA as his most exciting experience in sports. Notes he has a brother, Zuko, and a sister, Makenna.
