Summary

Biography

2019: Competed well once again for the Golden Eagles in her final year with the program. Had a best mark of 115-3 in the discus. Finished 25th in the discus at the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championships. Earned a CCAA Spring All-Academic award and received 2018-19 CCAA All-Academic honors. For her career, had best marks of 115-3 in the discus and 31-7.50 in the shot put.

2018: Continued to improve in her third year with the program. Had the team’s best mark in the discus with a throw of 110-8. Also had a best mark of 31-7.50 in the shot put. Finished 18th in the discus at the CCAA Championships.

2017: Showed improvement in her second year with the program. Finished 21st in the discus at the CCAA Championships. Had best marks of 104-7 in the discus, 30-6.25 in the shot put.

2016: Competed well in her first year with the program. Had best marks of 26-5.75 in the shot put and 95-2 in the discus.

At La Sierra High School: Competed in basketball and track and field. Earned the Coaches’ Award as a senior and a Most Inspirational award as a junior in track and field. Was the team captain as a junior and senior. Placed fourth as a sophomore, fourth as a junior and second as a senior in the discus in the Riverside Country Championships. Had personal bests of 101-0 in the discus and 30-4 in the shot put. Won the Coaches’ Award in basketball as a senior. Team took first place in the Azusa Pacific Tournament and went to the second round of the CIF playoffs for the first time in more than 15 years and had a record of 21-6, which was the best in the program’s history. Was named one of Riverside’s 25 Most Remarkable Teens in 2014.

Personal: Daughter of Mariam Tabatabai. Majoring in communications with a minor in business marketing. Enjoys hiking, drawing, cooking and trying new coffee shops. Lists making the conference finals in the discus at Cal State LA and placing first in the Azusa Pacific Basketball Tournament in high school during her senior year as her most exciting experiences in sports.
