Biography

2022: Had an outstanding season in her final year with the program. Earned All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honors after finishing third in the 100 hurdles at the conference championships. Also placed fourth in the 400 hurdles.  Was part of the 4x400 relay team that finished fourth in the conference. Had best marks of 60.42 in the 400, 2:41.53 in the 800, 14.37 in the 100 hurdles and 63.66 in the 400 hurdles. Also competed for the Golden Eagles in indoor track and had best marks of 8.16 in the 60 and 8.91 in the 60 hurdles. For her career, had best marks of 14.37 in the 100 hurdles, 63.63 in the 400 hurdles, 60.42 in the 400 and 2:41.53 in the 800 in outdoor track and 8.91 in the 60 hurdles, 8.16 in the 60 and 26.72 in the 200 in indoor track. Finished her career No. 4 all-time in the 60 hurdles in indoor track and No. 8 in the 100 hurdles in outdoor track.

2021: Was on the roster, but team did not compete due to COVID-19. Competed in the fall for Cal State LA’s cross country team. Competed in four races. Had a best time of 27:47.8 over 6,000 meters. Finished 85th in the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championships.

2020: Competed for Cal State LA’s track and field team in a shortened outdoor season. Had a best mark of 68.46 in the 400 hurdles. Also competed for Cal State LA’s indoor track and field team and had best marks of 27.36 in the 200, 65.16 in the 400 and 9.43 in the 60 hurdles.

2019: Began her Cal State LA track and field career in the spring. Finished sixth in the 400 hurdles at the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championships. Was also fourth as part of the 4x400 relay. Placed 13th in the 100 hurdles. Had best times of 14.68 in the 100 hurdles and 63.63 in the 400 hurdles. Also competed for Cal State LA’s indoor track and field team and had best times of 8.31 in the 60, 26.72 in the 200 and 9.15 in the 60 hurdles. Competed for Cal State LA’s cross country team in the fall and ran in two races. Had a best time of 23:28.66 over 5,000 meters at the Coyote Challenge on Sept. 21.

At Wilson High School: Won a league championship in the 100 hurdles and placed third in the 300 hurdles. Also ran on the team’s 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams. Was team captain for two years and part of the Blazin Bruins travel team for four years. Had best times of 15.07 in the 100 hurdles and 46.19 in the 300 hurdles.

Personal: Daughter of Lamar Ferguson and Jenna Williams. Majoring in sociology. Enjoys going to escape rooms, traveling and swimming. Lists running at the Texas Relays as her most exciting experience in sports.
