Cal State LA Athletics

2020: Was off to a promising start in her final season with the Golden Eagles when the season was halted. Had a best mark of 16.15 in the 100 meters at the Cal State LA Invitational on Feb. 29. For her career, had best marks of 15.38 in the 100 and 34.10 in the 200.

2019: Competed well in sprints in her first year with the Cal State LA program. Had best times of 15.38 in the 100 meters and 34.10 in the 200.

At Pasadena City College: Was named Pasadena City College’s Most Improved Female in 2017 and 2018. Had best marks of 15.29 in the 100 and 31.58 in the 200.

At Franklin High School: Placed seventh in the Northern League Cross Country Finals as a junior in 2012 and eighth place in the league finals in 2013.

Personal: Daughter of Gopal and Kalpana Vekaria. Majoring in criminal justice. Enjoys reading and reading news online because she says she likes to know what’s going on around her. Also enjoys hiking and the outdoors as much as she loves the city. Lists improving every single race, every single week at the collegiate level as her most exciting experience in sports.
