Summary

Biography

2023: Had another strong season for the Golden Eagles in her final year with the program. Had best marks of 12.63 in the 100, 26.39 in the 200, 18-1.75 in the long jump and 30-10.50 in the triple jump. Had the team’s best marks in the long jump and triple jump. Finished fifth in the California Collegiate Athletic Association in the long jump and was fifth in the conference as part of the 4x100 relay team. Also had best marks of 8.07 in the 60, 26.57 in the 200 and 17-9.75 in the long jump. For her career, had best marks of 12.63 in the 100, 26.39 in the 200, 18-2.50 in the long jump and 36-7 in the triple jump in outdoor track and 8.07 in the 60, 26.57 in the 200, 18-4.50 in the long jump and 38-4.25 in the triple jump in indoor track. Finished her career No. 4 all-time in the indoor triple jump. Was the CCAA Freshman of the Meet in 2018.

2022: Had best marks of 15-6 in the long jump and 13.61 in the 100 meters in outdoor track and field. Also competed for Cal State LA’s indoor team. Had best marks of 8.29 in the 60, 27.72 in the 200, 15-5 in the long jump and 32-9.75 in the triple jump.

2021: Was on the roster, but team did not compete due to COVID-19.

2020: Was off to a strong start to the outdoor season for the Golden Eagles before the year was halted after three events. Had best marks of 12.80 in the 100, 17-6.25 in the long jump and 36-7 in the triple jump. Had an outstanding indoor season for the Golden Eagles. Had the team’s best marks in both the long jump at 18-4.50 and triple jump at 38-4.25. Also had best times of 8.17 in the 60 and 27.16 in the 200. Indoor triple jump mark is No. 4 all-time at Cal State LA.

2019: Did not compete for the Golden Eagles and was a redshirt.

2018: Had an impressive first season with the Golden Eagles. Had best marks of 13.06 in the 100 meters, 28.86 in the 200 and 18-2.50 in the long jump. Finished fifth in the CCAA in the long jump and was named the CCAA Freshman of the Meet. Recorded her best jump of the season at the conference meet.

At Carson High School: Earned the team’s Athlete of the Year and Athlete of the Month awards at North Torrance High School. Had a best mark of 18-0 in the long jump.

Personal: Daughter of Vincent Johnson and Makeba Mims. Majoring in public health. Enjoys gardening, hiking, going to the beach, swimming, reading, writing, and listening to music. Lists winning and overcoming very difficult obstacles as her most exciting experience in sports.
