Cal State LA Athletics

2023: Was on the track and field roster, but did not compete in any meets for the Golden Eagles in her final year with the program.

2022: Had an outstanding first season with Cal State LA’s track and field program. Earned second-team All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honors as a member of the 4x100 relay team that placed second in the conference finals. Also placed fourth as a member of the 4x400 relay team and fifth in the 200. Finished 11^th in the conference in the 400. Had best marks of 12.38 in the 100, 25.11 in the 200, 57.88 in the 400 and 16-7.75 in the long jump. Also competed for Cal State LA’s indoor team and had best marks of 8.04 in the 60, 25.98 in the 200 and 30-0 in the triple jump. Was named the team’s Freshman of the Year. Also competed for Cal State LA’s cross country team in the fall. Ran in six meets and was one of the most consistent runners on the team. Had a best 5,000-meter time of 26:05.1 at Cal State Fullerton’s John Elder Invitational on Oct. 21 and a best 6,000-meter time of 29:44.7 at UC Riverside’s Highlander Invitational on Oct. 15.

At Chaparral High School: Was a two-time team Most Valuable Player and earned four varsity letters in track and field. Was on the BSU Honor Roll and the Principal’s Honor Roll. Had best times of 12.41 in the 100 meters and 25.51 in the 200.

Personal: Daughter of LaShay and Barri Woods. Majoring in social work. Enjoys eating and cooking. Lists making it to CIF in both her freshman and senior years as her most exciting experiences in sports.
