Summary

Biography

2019: Had an outstanding season for the Golden Eagles in his second and final year with the program. Was one of the team's top players once again. Appeared in 43 games with 38 starts. Hit .323 with 53 hits in 168 at bats. Led the team with nine home runs and 43 runs batted in. Was also third on the team with 32 runs scored. Earned All-West Region honorable mention from the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association and first-team All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honors. Hit three home runs to lead the Golden Eagles to a 10-7 win in the openeer of a doubleheader at UC San Diego on April 10. Went 4-for-5 with four runs scored and four RBI. Hit solo shots in the fourth and sixth innings and a two-run blast in the top of the ninth. Also had a home run in the nightcap to give him four home runs on the day. Added another home run in his final game with the Golden Eagles, a 12-6 victory over Cal State East Bay on April 28. Went 2-for-4 with a grand slam home run in a 9-5 win over Cal Poly Pomona on March 1. Had 16 multi-hit games. For his career, appeared in 83 games and started 70 times. Hit .301 with 10 home runs, 59 RBI and 53 runs scored.

2018: Made a big impact for the Golden Eagles in his first year with the program and was one of the team’s top players. Appeared in 40 games with 32 starts. Hit .273 with one home run, 16 RBI and 21 runs scored. Had a season-high three hits and three runs scored against Stanislaus State on Feb. 10. Drove in two runs in a game five times. Hit his home run in the opening game of a doubleheader at Cal State Dominguez Hills on March 17. Went 2-for-4 with three runs scored and one RBI in that game and was 4-for-9 with four runs scored and three RBI in the doubleheader. Had a total of eight multi-hit games.
 
At Saddleback College: Hit .289 as a sophomore with 41 hits in 142 at bats. Scored 26 runs and drove in 20. Hit .328 as a freshman with 20 hits in 61 at bats, four home runs, 15 RBI and 13 runs scored.
 
At Capistrano Valley High School: Competed in baseball and football. Earned All-CIF and All-League honors in football as a wide receiver. Was named the team’s Most Valuable Player.
 
Personal: Son of Jim and Gina Gordon. Majoring in economics. Enjoys driving his Foxbody Mustang GT, working out, cooking and then eating the food. Lists making friends and playing baseball with kids from all over the United States as his most exciting experience in sports. Notes he played for the Onondaga Flames in the New York Collegiate Baseball League.
