Cal State LA Athletics

2013: Contributed out of the bullpen for the Golden Eagles in his one year with the program. Appeared in seven games, all in relief. Had a 0-0 record with a 9.39 earned run average. Walked 10 and struck out three in 7 2/3 innings pitched. Tossed a season-high 2 1/3 innings and had a season-high two strikeouts at UC San Diego on March 16. Worked around two hits and a walk in one inning and didn't allow a run in his final appearance against Fresno Pacific on March 22. Retired the only batter he faced in a 10-5 win over San Francisco State on Feb. 17 and got one out without allowing a run in a 7-2 victory at Cal State Stanislaus on March 8.  

At Los Angeles Valley College: Appeared in nine games as a sophomore in 2012 and started eight times. Had a 1-3 record with a 6.00 earned run average. Threw a total of 39 innings and struck out 28.

At Royal High School: Competed in baseball.

Personal: Son of George and Sue Vranau. Majoring in communications. Enjoys dirt bike riding.
