Summary

Biography

2013: Had a tremendous season for the Golden Eagles in his one year with the program. Appeared in 56 games and started 55 times. Hit .340 with 68 hits in 200 at bats. Had two home runs, 12 doubles, 30 runs and 35 runs batted in. Was second on the team in batting average. Also contributed on the mound. Made 11 appearances and had a 2-0 record with a 2.21 earned run average and two saves. Had two walks and 17 strikeouts in 20 1/3 innings. Earned All-America honorable mention from the National College Baseball Writers Association and first-team All-West Region honors from the NCBWA and American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings. Also earned first-team All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honors and was the CCAA Tournament's Most Valuable Player. Went 3-for-5, including a three-run home run in CCAA championship game against Sonoma State. Also pitched and allowed only three hits and one run over the final five innings to notch the victory in a 7-1 win. Went 9-for-21 with four runs scored, two home runs and seven RBI in five games in five tournament games. Allowed only four hits over five shutout innings to pick up his first win of the season in a 5-4 12-inning victory over Cal State East Bay on April 12. Went 3-for-3 with three runs scored and two RBI in a 20-3 win over Cal State Monterey Bay on March 3. Had 19 multi-hit games, including seven three-hit games. 

At Utah: Appeared in 17 games and started 14 times in 2012. Collected six hits and scored six runs while driving in three.

At College of Southern Idaho: Hit .352 with 35 runs scored and 13 RBI as a sophomore and earned All-Region honorable mention. Had 50 hits in 142 at bats. Hit .273 as a freshman and ranked sixth in the region with 15 doubles. Had a team-high 130 assists.

At Chatsworth High School: Hit .460 as a junior with 47 RBI and earned first-team All-League and second-team All-State honors. Hit .385 as a senior and earned first-team All-City honors. Helped team to CIF titles in 2008 and 2009.

Personal: Son of Glenn and Ann Cooperstone. Majoring in business. Enjoys snowboarding and the beach. Lists winning CIF titles in 2008 and 2009 at Dodger Stadium as his most exciting experiences in sports.
