Cal State LA Athletics

2013: Contributed for a second season in his final year with the program.Made three relief appearances. Had a 0-0 record with a 14.40 earned run average. Walked eight and struck out two in five inning pitched. Allowed only four hits and one run over 3 1/3 innings in a 10-9 victory over Cal State East Bay on April 14. Recovered nicely during a rough outing in an 11-9 win over UC San Diego on March 15. Gave up four hits and three walks before getting the final out via strikeout with the tying run at the plate. For his career, appeared in nine games, all in relief. Had a 0-0 record with an 11.25 earned run average. Walked 15 and struck out five in 12 innings pitched. 

2012: Appeared in six games, all in relief, in his first year with the program. Was 0-0 with a 9.00 earned run average. Did not allow a run in two of his relief appearances. Blanked Chico State over one inning on March 31 and tossed a scoreless inning with one strikeout at Cal Poly Pomona on April 21. Made his debut by allowing one run in one inning of an 8-3 win against Cal Baptist on Feb. 2. Struck out two in the inning.

At West L.A. College: Made 13 appearances and nine starts. Pitched a total of 47 1/3 innings and had a 2-6 record with a 7.42 earned run average.

At Beverly Hills High School: Competed in football, basketball, baseball and water polo. Earned first-team All-Ocean League honors as a senior in football. Earned first-team All-Orange League honors as a sophomore, junior and senior in basketball and was the Ocean League’s Most Valuable Player as a senior.

Personal: Son of Daniel and Charlotte Skura. Majoring in communication studies. Enjoys sports and video games.
