Biography

2019: Battled through injuries and was once again one of the best players on the team in his finalĀ  season with the Golden Eagles. Was seventh on the team in scoring with two goals and four assists for eight points. Both goals were game-winners. Appeared in 22 games with 12 starts. Played a total of 979 minutes. Most memorable goal came in the second overtime period of a 1-0 win at Cal Poly Pomona on Oct. 20 when he collected a pass from Carlos Zarate in the box and rifled in a shot into the net for his first goal of the season. Scored his second goal in the 64th minute of a 1-0 win over UC San Diego on Nov. 2. Was dynamic through Cal State LA’s NCAA playoff run. Assisted on Carl Solli’s goal in the first half of a 1-1 tie against St. Mary’s on Dec. 5 and had two assists on Cal State LA’s first two goals of a 3-0 win over UIndy in the national semi-final game on Dec. 12. Earned 2019-20 California Collegiate Athletic Association All-Academic honors. For his career, appeared in 43 games with 33 starts. Had nine goals and nine assists for 27 points. Played a total of 2,296 minutes.

2018: Had an outstanding first season with the Golden Eagles and was one of the team’s top players. Earned first-team All-CCAA honors for the second time in his career. Scored seven goals with five assists for a total of 19 points. Was tied for second on the team in goals scored, third in assists and third in points. Started all 21 games for the Golden Eagles. Scored a goal in his first game with Cal State LA in a 2-0 victory at Northwest Nazarene on Aug. 30. Had the game-winning goals in a 1-0 victory at Stanislaus State on Sept. 16 and a 1-0 win over Sonoma State on Sept. 23. Had a goal and an assist in a 5-0 win over Cal State Dominguez Hills on Sept. 26 and had a goal and an assist in a 4-0 win over Cal Poly Pomona on Oct. 25.

At Cal State Dominguez Hills: Earned first-team All-CCAA and second-team All-West Region honors as a sophomore in 2017. Played in 18 games with 15 starts in 2017 with five goals and nine assists for 19 points. Played and started in nine games as a freshman. Scored two goals, including one in his first college game against San Francisco State.

At Centro Educacional Brasil Central: Attended.

Personal: Son of Ildamar and Lourival Correia. Majoring in sociology. Enjoys soccer. Lists playing in a regional final and in NCAA Tournaments as his most exciting experiences in sports. Played for Pasadena-based Golden State of the SoCal Premier League from 2014-15. Won the North Huntington Beach U-19 Regionals and was a semifinalist for the Dallas Cup.
