Cal State LA Athletics

2021: Took on a bigger role for the national champions in his final year with the Cal State LA program. Appeared in 20 games and played a total of 491 minutes. Scored two goals with three assists for seven points. Scored his first career goal in a 3-0 win over Cal State East Bay on Oct. 8. Got the team’s final goal in the 67^th minute. Scored the game’s only goal, in the 78^th minute, in a 1-0 win at Cal State San Bernardino on Oct. 17. Had an assist on Cal State LA’s lone goal in the 43^rd minute of a 1-1 tie at Cal State Monterey Bay on Oct. 24. Also had assists in a 4-0 win against Stanislaus State on Oct. 10 and a 3-0 win at Cal State Dominguez Hills on Oct. 22. For his career, appeared in 24 games and a total of 554 minutes. Had two goals and three assists for seven points.

2020: Earned California Collegiate Athletic Association 2020 Fall Academic Honor Roll recognition. Team did not compete due to COVID-19.

2019: Contributed for the Golden Eagles as a true freshman in his first year with the program. Appeared in four games and played a total of 63 minutes. Made his Cal State LA debut and played a season-high 25 minutes in a 5-1 win over Stanislaus State on Sept. 27. Also played 10 minutes in a 2-0 win over Cal State San Bernardino in a California Collegiate Athletic Association Tournament game on Nov. 15. Received 2019-20 California Collegiate Athletic Association All-Academic honors.

At Irvine High School: Earned first-team All-League honors in his sophomore, junior and senior seasons. Team qualified for CIF playoffs for the first time in 20 years. Was a team MVP his sophomore, junior and senior years. Competed in soccer and volleyball.

Personal: Son of Liting Yu and Meilin Lee. Majoring in business marketing. Enjoys playing instruments, watching Netflix and sleeping. Lists going to the NCAA Final Four and making CIF in high school for the first time in 20 years as his most exciting experiences in sports.
