2019: Was on the roster, but did not appear in any games for the Golden Eagles in his final year with the program. For his career, appeared in four games and played a total of 57 minutes. Had one goal and two points.

2018: Appeared in a pair of games for the Golden Eagles as a junior. Picked up his first career goal in an 8-1 win over Cal State East Bay on Oct. 4. Made his first appearance of the season and played 15 minutes in a 5-0 win over Cal State Dominguez Hills on Sept. 26. Earned a 2018-19 California Collegiate Athletic Association All-Academic Award.

2017: Appeared in one game for the Golden Eagles as a sophomore. Played eight minutes and took one shot in a 1-0 win over Hawaii-Hilo on Sept. 19.

2016: Played in one game for the Golden Eagles as a freshman. Played a total of 17 minutes and had a shot on goal in a 6-2 win over Saint Martin’s on Sept. 1.

At University of Hartford: Did not compete in any games in his one year at the school. Named to the American East Commissioner’s Honor Roll for achieving a grade point average of 3.50 or above.

At Stadium High School: Had seven goals and one assist and was the team’s Offensive Most Valuable Player as a senior. Earned first-team All-Conference honors. Was named the 2014 Athlete of the Year by the Tacoma Athletic Association. Played club soccer for the Washington Premier FC and the South Sound FC U-23 during summers.

Personal: Son of Andy Hwang and Sonja Bert. Majoring in aviation administration. Enjoys going to the beach, hiking, snowboarding and traveling. Lists scoring his first goal for Cal State LA as his most exciting experience in sports.
