2019: Was on the roster for a second season with the Golden Eagles. Did not compete in any games in his final year with the program.

2018: Did not compete in any games and was a redshirt.

At Chaffey College: Made seven starts and had a 1.30 goals against average with 33 saves in 2017.

At Los Osos High School: Earned first-team All-League honors and was the Class Most Valuable Player for Los Osos. Was a Scholar-Athlete and a IE Sports Net MVP.

Personal: Son of Francisco and Maria Chaves. Majoring in political science. Enjoys video games and poker. Lists watching Costa Rica in the 2014 World Cup as his most exciting experience in sports.
