Summary

Biography

2019: Completed a sensational four-year career with his best season for the Golden Eagles. Earned third-team All-West Region honors from the United Soccer Coaches for a second straight season and received All-California College Athletic Association honorable mention. Was part of a defense that set a new program record with 15 shutouts. Started all 23 games for the Golden Eagles and played a total of 2,043 minutes. Scored a pair of goals and had four points. Scored the only goal in a 1-0 win at Cal State East Bay on Oct. 27. Also had the second goal in a 3-0 win at Notre Dame de Namur on Sept. 16. For his career, played in a total of 75 games with 72 starts and a total of 6,601 minutes. Had a total of four goals and two assists for 10 points.

2018: Had an outstanding season for the Golden Eagles and was one of the team’s top defenders. Started all 21 games for the Golden Eagles and led all position players with 1,930 minutes played. Earned third-team All-West Region honors from the United Soccer Coaches and received second-team All-CCAA honors. Was part of a defense that tied a program record with 14 shutouts. Picked up an assist in a 4-0 win over Cal Poly Pomona on Oct. 25.

2017: Had another successful season for the Golden Eagles.  Started 17 games for Cal State LA and was sixth on the team in minutes played with 1,541 despite missing the final five games of the season due to injury. Recorded two goals and four points. Both goals were game-winners. Scored the first goal in a 3-0 win at Point Loma on Sept. 2. Scored the second goal in the first half of a 4-1 win over Cal State Dominguez Hills on Sept. 28.

2016: Made big contributions for the Golden Eagles as a redshirt freshman. Appeared in 14 games and started 11 and helped solidify Cal State LA’s defense. Had an assist on Steven Eberle’s game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory over Stanislaus State on Sept. 18.

2015: Joined the Cal State LA program, but did not compete in any games and was a redshirt.

At Monrovia High School: Was the Rio Hondo League Most Valuable Player. Earned All-Area honors. Scored 25 goals in three years of varsity play. Was a Scholar-Athlete for two years.

Personal: Son of Antonio and Guadalupe Rosas. Majoring in business administration. Enjoys biking and hiking. Lists winning back-to-back CCAA Tournament championships as his most exciting experience in sports. Notes he enjoys traveling to Mexico.
