Cal State LA Athletics

2017: Made two relief appearances for the Golden Eagles in his final year with the program. Did not allow a run over 1 1/3 innings. Had one walk and one strikeout. Tossed one scoreless inning and struck out one at Cal Poly Pomona on March 9. Pitched 1/3 of an inning with a walk and a hit batter in an 8-7 win over UC San Diego on April 28. For his career, appeared in 12 games and pitched a total of nine innings. Had a 1-1 record with a 3.00 earned run average. Had five walks and nine strikeouts. Did not allow a run in 10 of his 12 relief appearances.

2016: Had a solid season as a reliever for the Golden Eagles in his first year with the program. Compiled a 1-1 record with a 3.52 earned run average. Earned the win against UC San Diego on March 3 by getting a pair of outs, one by strikeout. Pitched a total of 7 2/3 innings and walked four with eight strikeouts. Did not allow a run in eight of his 10 relief appearances.

At Chaffey College: Earned All-Foothill Conference honors. Had a record of 2-3 with a 6.00 earned run average as a sophomore. Struck out 44 in 42 innings pitched. Made 14 appearances, including 11 starts. Was 6-3 with a 3.80 earned run average as a freshman. Made 11 starts and struck out 72 in 71 innings pitched.

At Jurupa High School: Earned first-team All-League honors in baseball.

Personal: Son of Leonard and Diane Patito. Majoring in sociology. Enjoys fishing. Lists winning a league championship as his most exciting experience in sports.
