2018: Battled back once again from major injuries and was a big contributor for the Golden Eagles in his final year with the program. Made seven appearances, all in relief, and pitched a total of 6 1/3 innings. Was 0-1 with an 8.53 earned run average and one save. Pitched 2 1/3 brilliant innings of scoreless relief to pick up the save in a 3-1 win at Cal Poly Pomona on March 11. Didn't allow an earned run in five of his seven appearances. For his career, made 43 appearances and 19 starts. Was 4-10 with a 4.09 earned run average and two saves. Had 31 walks and 66 strikeouts. Also had two hits in three at bats at the plate.
 
2017: Returned after missing the entire 2016 season and was a key part of the Golden Eagles’ pitching staff. Made nine starts for the Golden Eagles and was 2-2 with a 3.62 earned run average. Got his first victory after allowing four hits and one run over 6 1/3 innings against Cal State East Bay on March 26 and followed that up with six shutout innings in a victory at Sonoma State on April 2. Went five strong innings in his final start against UC San Diego on April 28 and got no-decision in Cal State LA’s eventual 8-7 victory.

2016: Did not pitch because of injury and was a redshirt.

2015: Was one of the team’s most dependable pitchers in his second season with the Golden Eagles. Made 13 appearances, including six starts. Finished with a 1-5 record and a 3.44 earned run average that was the second-lowest among the Golden Eagle starters. Allowed three or fewer earned runs in five of his six starts. Tossed 3 1/3 innings of scoreless relief to pick up a win at Cal State East Bay on March 27. Allowed two hits, didn’t walk a batter and struck out two. Was moved into the starting rotation and made five starts from April 2-May 2. Allowed only seven earned runs over 28 innings in four starts against Chico State, Cal State Stanislaus, Cal Poly Pomona and Cal State San Bernardino, pitching seven innings in each start. Walked six and struck out 19 over that span. Was injured in his final start of the season at UC San Diego on May 2 and had to be removed from the game in the fourth inning.

2014: Made significant contributions in his first year with the program as a true freshman. Made 14 appearances before being sidelined by an injury in mid-April. Had a 1-2 record with a 4.61 earned run average. Threw a total of 41 innings and had seven walks and 21 strikeouts. First 10 appearances came in relief and he compiled a 2.55 earned run average with one save. Didn’t allow an earned run in six of his 10 relief outings. Allowed only one hit over the final 3 1/3 innings of a 12-2 win at Cal State Monterey Bay on Feb. 23 to pick up the save. Allowed only six hits and one unearned run over 6 2/3 innings in his first start, a 10-4 victory over Cal State San Bernardino on March 29. Went eight strong innings in a 4-3 loss at San Francisco State on April 12, allowing only three runs, walking two and striking out a season-high six.

At Gahr High School: Earned first-team Long Beach Press-Telegram “Dream Team” honors. Was the San Gabriel Valley League Pitcher of the Year after going 7-2 with a 1.07 earned run average and 57 strikeouts. Also had a .343 batting average.

At Mayfair High School: Earned second-team All-CIF honors and first-team Long Beach Press-Telegram “Dream Team” honors. Was the Most Valuable Player of the Suburban League after going 8-0 with a 1.66 earned run average and 58 strikeouts. Also hit .452. Earned first-team All-League honors as a sophomore and “Dream Team” honorable mention.

Personal: Son of Tony and Carrie Humbert. Majoring in business. Enjoys fishing and golfing. Lists hitting a walk-off home run at his friend’s memorial tournament as his most exciting experience in sports.
