Cal State LA Athletics

2018: Was a big part of the bullpen for the Golden Eagles in his one year with the program. Made 14 appearances, all in relief. Went 0-1 with a 7.88 earned run average. Walked nine and struck out 17 in 24 innings pitched. Had two saves. Pitched three scoreless innings and gave up just one hit to get the save in a 3-2 win against Cal Poly Pomona on March 9. Struck out a season-high three. Also pitched three scoreless innings and gave up just two hits to get the save in a 6-1 victory over Cal State Dominguez Hills on March 16. Had five scoreless outings and gave up one or no runs in 10 of his 14 outings. 

At Cal State San Bernardino: Appeared in four games and made one start for the Coyotes in 2017. Was 0-0 with a 3.10 earned run average in nine innings pitched.
 
At East Los Angeles College: Was 2-6 with a 3.25 earned run average as a sophomore . Made 13 appearances and 12 starts. Walked 17 and struck out 47. Was 1-0 with a 4.26 earned run average as a freshman. Made 15 appearances with three starts and pitched a total of 34 innings with seven walks and 15 strikeouts.
 
At Bell High School: Was the Eastern League Most Valuable Player and earned first-team All-League honors as a senior. Team was undefeated in league and reached the CIF playoffs in his senior season.
 
Personal: Son of Gabriel and Josie Ramos. Majoring in communications. Enjoys cars and music. Lists winning a Little League championship with his younger brother as his most exciting experience in sports.
