Cal State LA Athletics

2018: Had an outstanding season for the Golden Eagles in his final year with the program. Started all 51 games he played in during the season. Hit .251 with 45 hits in 179 at bats. Had eight home runs, 39 RBI and 30 runs scored. Was third on the team in RBI, third in home runs and tied for fourth in runs scored. Led the team with 30 walks. Went 3-for-4 with two home runs, three runs scored and three RBI in a 9-5 win over Chico State on March 29. Went 2-for-3 with four RBI, including a three-run home run in the seventh inning of a 10-7 win over San Francisco State in a California Collegiate Athletic Association Tournament game on May 10. Went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in a win over British Columbia on Feb. 16. Had 14 multi-hit games and 11 games with two or more RBI. For his career, appeared in 73 games with 58 starts. Hit .237 with 50 hits in 211 at bats. Had eight home runs, 45 RBI and 36 runs scored. Also had 46 walks.

2017: Had one of the team’s most dramatic hits in his first season with the program. Connected for a game-winning double in the bottom of the 12^th inning to lift the Golden Eagles to a 13-12 win over Cal State San Marcos on May 4. Drove in a pair of runs against Cal State Dominguez Hills on March 3 and had a hit and scored two runs at Cal State San Marcos on May 6. Hit .156 with five hits, six runs scored and six RBI. Played well defensively and made only one error in 78 chances.

At Santa Barbara City College: Earned first-team All-Western State North Conference honors and led his team in home runs, RBI and slugging percentage. Hit .295 with seven home runs and 35 RBI in 2016.

At Serra High School: Still holds the single-season home run record at the school. Earned second-team All-League honors. Was on the Union-Tribune’s All-Academic Team in 2013.

Personal: Son of Francois Bereaud and Florence Evans. Majoring in communications. Enjoys playing the guitar, listening to music, hiking, writing and movies. Lists beating Cuesta College at Cuesta for the first time in three years, playing a game at Petco Park in his junior year of high school and hitting the walk-off hit against Cal State San Marcos in 2017 as his most exciting experiences in sports. Notes he still has the best walk-up music in the nation.
