Cal State LA Athletics

2017: Had a second strong season for the Golden Eagles in his final year with the program. Appeared in 36 games and started 33 times. Hit .236 with 29 hits in 123 at bats. Had nine doubles, three triples, 18 runs batted in and 16 runs scored. Had a season-high three RBI in a 16-7 win over Cal State Dominguez Hills on March 3. Went 1-for-5 with a triple, two RBI and three runs scored in an 11-5 win at Cal State Dominguez Hills on March 2. Had a double and two RBI at Cal State Monterey Bay on March 17. Had five multi-hit games. Also played outstanding defense again in the infield for the Golden Eagles, committing only 14 errors in 195 chances for a fielding percentage of .928. For his career, appeared in 81 games and started 78 times. Hit .218 with 56 hits in 257 at bats, Had 11 doubles, three triples, 36 RBI and 40 runs scored. . 

2016: Was outstanding at shortstop for the Golden Eagles in his first year with the program. Started 45 games for the Golden Eagles. Hit .201 with 27 hits in 134 at bats. Hit safely in five of his last six starts. Had two hits and a season-high three RBI at California Baptist on Feb. 4. Also drove in two runs against Cal State San Marcos on Feb. 28 and had two hits and two runs scored at UC San Diego on March 5. Had five multi-hit games. Had only 15 errors in 261 chances at shortstop for a fielding percentage of .943.

At Los Angeles Valley College: Was the team Most Valuable Player. Hit .277 as a sophomore with 31 runs scored and 18 RBI. Hit .246 as a freshman in 34 games.

At San Fernando High School: Was a four-year varsity starter.

Personal: Son of Refugio and Paula Dominguez. Majoring in Kinesiology. Enjoys foosball and airsofting. Lists dogpiling at Dodger Stadium after winning the 2011 CIF Division Championship as his most exciting experience in sports.
