Biography

At West L.A. College: Earned All-Conference honors and was a Fall Classic All-Star in 2008. Also hit .353 as a freshman for Pierce Junior College before attending West L.A. College.
 
At Notre Dame High School: Competed in football, basketball and baseball. Earned All-League honors in football and was part of a program that won three consecutive CIF Division III championships. Earned All-League honors in baseball as a junior and senior and was the team Most Valuable Player as a senior. Also earned L.A. Daily News All-Area honors and was a Bernie Milligan All-Star. Also earned academic honors from 2003-05.
 
Personal: Son of Roland and Maribel Sunga. Majoring in criminal justice. Enjoys having fun, staying loose, playing baseball and spending time with family and friends. Lists getting drafted by the Dodgers in 2005 and taking batting practice at Dodger Stadium in front of Tommy Lasorda as his most exciting experience in sports. Signed with the University of Oregon football team as a long-snapper out of high school.
