2009: Was a contributor once again for the Golden Eagles in his second and final year with the program. Appeared in 21 games with 10 starts. Hit .308 with 12 hits in 39 at bats. Had one home run, three doubles, three runs scored and nine runs batted in. Hit a pinch-hit two-run home run in the eighth inning at UC San Diego on Feb. 27. Went 2-for-2 with a double, two runs scored and one RBI at Grand Canyon on Feb. 14. Went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles at Cal State San Bernardino on March 12. Went 1-for-4 with two RBI at Cal State San Bernardino on March 13. Went 2-for-4 with two RBI against Cal State San Bernardino on March 14. Had three multi-hit games. For his career, appeared in 39 games with 15 starts. Hit .239 with 17 hits in 71 at bats. Had one home run, four doubles, seven runs scored and 11 RBI.

2008: Appeared in 18 games for the Golden Eagles with five starts. Hit .156 with five hits in 32 at bats. Was flawless in the field with no errors in 24 attempts. Picked up his first hit of the season with a double and a run scored against Cal State Monterey Bay on March 28. Drove in his first run of the year at Cal State San Bernardino on April 19. Scored four runs and drove in two during the season.

At Southwestern Junior College: Earned first-team All-Pacific Coast Conference honors.

At Hilltop High School: Earned All-CIF honors in 2004 and was the South Bay Pitcher of the Year. Earned All-South Bay League three times.

Personal: Son of Eric and Denise Quintero. Majoring in business administration. Enjoys the beach, shopping and hanging out with friends. Lists winning the pitcher of the year award at Hilltop High School in 2004 as his most exciting experience in sports.
