2009: Had a second outstanding season for the Golden Eagles in his final year with the program. Made 12 appearances with 10 starts. Had a 6-1 record with a 5.44 earned run average. Had 20 walks and 40 strikeouts in 48 innings pitched. Picked up his first win in his third start of the season. Gave up five hits and two runs over five innings of a 12-5 victory over San Francisco State. Scattered eight hits and gave up only one run 5in a season-long 5 1/3 innings in a 3-1 victory at Chico State on March 7. Walked two and struck out a season-high six. Matched the six strikeouts while allowing six hits and three runs over five innings of a 7-3 win over Cal State Stanislaus on April 11. Gave up just three hits and one run while walking four and striking out five in an 11-2 win over Cal Poly Pomona on April 25. For his career, appeared in 26 games and started 14 times. Had an 8-1 record with a 5.19 earned run average. Walked 43 walks and 76 strikeouts.

2008: Became a key contributor to the Golden Eagle pitching staff. Appeared in 14 games and made four starts. Threw a total of 37 innings. Compiled a 2-0 record with a 4.86 earned run average. Walked 23 and struck out 36. Walked only four and struck out 13 over his final 17 1/3 innings. Won his final two starts of the season against Cal Poly Pomona on April 26 and at San Francisco State on May 3. Allowed one or no runs in three of his last four appearances. Blanked Sonona State on two hits over four innings in his final relief appearance on April 6. Received no decision after allowing two hits and only an unearned run at Cal State San Bernardino on April 19. Picked up his first win of the season after allowing only five hits and one run in five strong innings against Cal Poly Pomona on April 26. Gave up eight hits and four earned runs over 4 1/3 innings and got the win against San Francisco State on May 3. Struck out a season-high seven over four innings against Concordia on March 18.

At Santa Ana College: Compiled a 6-4 record with a 3.40 earned run average in 2007. Threw 79 1/3 innings, walked 28 and struck out 60. Team won the Orange Empire Conference title.

At Japan Aviation Academy: Was a three-year letterman in high school and participated in a national championship twice.

Personal: Son of Hisashi and Yoko Fujiwara. Majoring in business. Enjoys movies and shopping. Lists throwing a no-hitter as his most exciting experience in sports.
